Sunday 7th October saw the second Dirty Sunday brevet ride roll from the shop. Less than 6 months after the first Das Rad Klub run event, popularity demanded a second event, this time around 65 dirt hungry riders signed on. Bikes ranged from cyclocross race whips to larger-than-life fat bikes. Anything goes when the unexpected is just around the corner.
The self navigated route took on some secret trails nearby home before the flat Strawberry Path to Cheddar for lunch. Climbing out of the village is an off road sufferfest, to be rewarded with stunning views of the Somerset levels & beyond. Dirt tyres ripping through picturesque Mendip heathland and rocky singletrack, shredders encountered all terrain from all angles, with some unrideable passes put in for good measure. Hot sun beating down was a welcome surprise after the previous day's downpour, making for muddy faces at Little Victories where the beer & coffee flowed over tales from the day.
Ed Wirgman was on hand to shoot riders in film format.
