Saturday night saw the 5th annual Hacksaws Challenge fixed gear race happen once again. The yearly checkpoint challenge from Bristol to Bath & back is a firm favourite with all fixed gear riders despite how cold & miserable the route can get at points. This year 29 riders took to the A4, and battled with severe Christmas shopping traffic, and the odd set of roadworks, but all riders finished the race with no real problems, and we're stoked that Rob Borek won the race in DRK colours. He & Luke Penny made a 2 man break stick early on, with myself caught on my own, riding the majority of the race solo a few minutes behind, holding out 3rd place. Here are a few photos of the DRK presence, taken by Jon Mackinnon, the rest from the night can be seen right here. A massive thanks to Dave for putting on the challenge once again. Rob wrote a guest post for Hamilton Wheelers about his race win & you can read that here.
